Día de los Muertos Ancestor Altar Mat

Important Holiday Shipping Notice:

To help ensure your Día de los Muertos Special Edition arrives in time for the holiday, please place your order on or before October 16, 2026. Orders placed after October 16th are still welcome; however, arrival by Día de los Muertos cannot be guaranteed.

This is a blessed and activated ancestor altar mat created to give you a sacred space to honor, remember, and connect with your departed loved ones. Designed especially for Día de los Muertos, it can also be used throughout the year for ancestor veneration, prayer, offerings, and spiritual connection. Use it as the foundation of your ancestor altar and place photographs, candles, water, flowers, food, personal belongings, and other offerings upon it.

The altar mat is easy to roll up, making it convenient to store when your altar is not in use or to travel with when you want to take your sacred space with you.

Instructions: Place your altar mat on a cleansed surface. Add photographs or items representing the loved ones you wish to honor, along with a glass of fresh water and any offerings you choose. Light your candle and speak the names of your departed loved ones, welcoming your benevolent and well-intentioned ancestors into the space. Talk with them, pray, share memories, play music, give thanks, and celebrate their lives. When finished, thank your ancestors and respectfully close your time with them.
